We are thrilled to share that AMI Technologies was part of the landmark India AI Impact Summit 2026 — the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This was a powerful milestone that placed India at the centre of the worldwide AI conversation, and we were proud to be in the room.

AMI Assistant, In-Car AI Assistant Powered by Bhashini

At the summit, AMI Technologies showcased AMI Assistant, an intelligent in-car AI assistant designed to deliver natural, multilingual voice interactions for connected vehicles. Powered by Bhashini, the platform combines speech recognition, language understanding, translation, and conversational AI to enable seamless communication across multiple Indian languages—making voice experiences more accessible and intuitive for every driver.

Visitors experienced how AMI Assistant understands natural spoken commands, interprets user intent in real time, and delivers contextual responses for navigation, infotainment, vehicle controls, and connected services. By supporting multilingual conversations and hands-free interaction, AMI Assistant helps create safer, smarter, and more personalized in-cabin experiences for next-generation mobility platforms.

A Historic Gathering for Global AI

The India AI Impact Summit 2026, organized under the IndiaAI Mission by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, brought together delegations from over 100 countries, more than 20 heads of state, 60 ministers, and the biggest names in technology — from Sam Altman of OpenAI to Sundar Pichai of Google — all converging on New Delhi to shape the future of artificial intelligence.

With the theme of "People, Planet, Progress", the summit was a bold declaration that the Global South is not just a recipient of AI innovation — it is a co-author of the AI revolution. For a company like AMI Technologies, rooted in Hyderabad and building AI-first audio and voice solutions for the world, this summit resonated deeply with our own mission.

What Made This Summit Special

Unlike previous editions in the UK, South Korea, and France, the India AI Impact Summit centered the conversation on accessibility, inclusivity, and real-world impact — themes that deeply align with our work at AMI Technologies. AI that works for billions of people must work in their own languages, in their own contexts, and on the devices they actually use.

Indian innovators like Sarvam AI unveiled next-generation multilingual large language models supporting 22 Indian languages. The government-backed BharatGen Param2 model — a 17-billion parameter multimodal system — was also launched, signalling India's serious intent to build sovereign AI infrastructure from the ground up.

The India AI Impact Summit brought together the world's foremost AI leaders and innovators under one roof.

Long term, it's good for the world that AI is not just viewed as a race between the U.S. and China. India is right now the player that most confidently says — "We reject this dynamic."

AI That Speaks Your Language

Our AMI Assistant platform — designed for in-vehicle infotainment, smart speakers, and consumer electronics — already supports native language voice interaction in over 100 languages. The summit's emphasis on multilingual AI, indigenous datasets, and culturally-aware AI evaluation perfectly mirrors the challenges we solve every day for our OEM and ODM partners.

Edge AI and Sovereign Infrastructure

The summit's discussions on sovereign AI infrastructure — reducing dependence on cloud compute for critical intelligence tasks — align directly with our Edge AI capabilities. AMI Technologies' audio processing and voice AI modules run efficiently at the edge, bringing real-time, privacy-preserving intelligence to devices without requiring constant cloud connectivity.
